All enrolled Adult Centre students are welcome to visit the Learning Centre and use the facilities and services provided. The Centre supports the needs of those undertaking leisure courses as well as examination courses.
A wide selection of printed, audio-visual and electronic resources are available. Students can 'pop-in' to read a daily newspaper or a journal, or simply take time to catch up on some leisure reading whilst you wait for your course to begin. Careers and study skills information can be accessed as well as ICT facilities connecting to the Internet, on-line databases, CD-ROM titles and email.
If you are enrolled on an examination course or if you simply wish to borrow any materials (e.g. book, video, CD) you will need to formally join the Learning Centre. You can check all of this with the Learning Centre Staff or Adult Centre Reception Staff.
Full inductions to services are offered on request - so please ask ! Guides to services in various formats can also be provided.
You can access the Learning Centre between 5.00 pm and 7.30 pm Monday and Tuesday (term time only) when the Adult Centre is in operation.
