Chinese (Mandarin) for Beginners · OCR Asset Languages
This course is being offered in partnership with the British Council, who provide staffing.

This course will enable you to:

  • Acquire a basic competence in Chinese in the four skills of reading, writing, speaking, listening
  • Gain a basic knowledge of Chinese culture

The course is divided into simple topic areas.

Foreign Language Assistants



The college has several foreign language assistants and every student taking a foreign language course has one hour a week timetabled for conversation practice with a native speaker.
