The OCR ICT National is a vocationally orientated 1 or 2 GCSE qualification for students. The course is entirely assessed through coursework, there are no examinations.
To complete the first Award students will complete the following units

In this unit you undertake an assignment based on a scenario. It will involve you using a range of
applications software.
UNIT 2 – Spreadsheets
In this unit you will have to design and develop a complex spreadsheet. This involves writing formulas,
creating graphs and adding macros.
UNIT 3 –Digital Imaging
In this shorter unit you will have to design and develop graphics such as buttons or logos.
Students who show a real aptitude for the subject can then go on to achieve the National Award by
adding the following two units.

What happens if I don’t complete all the units?
You can still achieve the short course award if you complete two units.
This qualification can be combined with the
Business National Award that we offer to achieve a 4 GCSE
qualification.
