The Leavers’ Ball is an Aquinas tradition that has been revived over recent years and this year’s event on the 25th May was the most LAVISH and BIGGEST to date.
Students get down at the biggest leavers ball so far
It was certainly the most popular with over 260 students and staff attending the event which was held at The Midland Hotel Manchester, one of the city’s premier hotels.
The Midland staff were superb in ensuring our students and staff had a first class evening. The function rooms were beautifully decorated and the champagne reception ensured that the tone was set for a fabulous evening. The atmosphere was electric from the moment the DJ engaged his turntables, with a full-packed dance floor before the serving of the starter, then before the serving of the main course, and again before the serving of the dessert!! What can I say? We are just one dance-happy year group!!
Staff enjoyed a dance too!
The success of the evening was testimony to the Student Council, led by President Hannah Donelon and Vice President Jess Webb, who all worked extremely hard in organising the evening and have set a precedent for future Student Councils to follow.

On behalf of the Student Council, I would like to thank all of those that attended, and express sincere appreciation to Andy Bailey for his support in organising the evening and in assisting the Student Council for the past two years.
