Staff and students celebrated the outstanding sporting achievements accomplished by students this year at Sports Presentation Evening.

On Thursday 25th April 2013 we held our After Aquinas Event. This event brings together students and parents with Universities, training providers and employers to discuss options available to students after Aquinas.

A dozen students from Aquinas College have been successful in receiving offers to study at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

February 2013 saw the eighth and largest Aquinas India trip depart.  71 students and 9 staff spent 10 days in Mumbai working with the under-privileged children supported by Prem Dan. 

The football and netball teams travelled to Bath this weekend to represent the North West against teams from all over the UK.

Aquinas students perform Jim Cartwright's play as part of the National Theatre Connections 2013. The show will be performed again on the 9th of May at the Lowry in Salford.

In December a group of students from Product Design 3D Design visited the Mini Factory in Oxford to find out about modern manufacturing techniques.

Mary Ashcroft, ex-Aquinas Student, has won a prestigious Manchester Art Gallery competition.

Following on from the success of the netball team, it was the football team's turn to shine by becoming North-west Champions in the British Colleges Sport -North West Tournament.

The Sunday Times Schools Guide published last week includes Aquinas College in the top 20 State Sixth Form Colleges yet again.  Colleges are ranked nationally on the aggregate level 3 points 2009 - 2011.

The Aquinas Netball team have been crowned the champions in the British Colleges Sport-North-West tournament - for the 2nd year in a row!

Local artist Rob Wilson visited Aquinas on Friday 9th November to do a demonstration and talk to students about his work.

First place, Runner-up and five Official Selection awards went to Aquinas Film Studies students whose creativity and skill behind the camera dazzled judges at Screen Stockport Film Festival 2012

Students from Aquinas College Stockport gained excellent results again this summer, again increasing both pass rates and the percentage achieving high grades. 

The hard work and commitment put in by the students and staff involved in the Fairtrade Group has paid off this month as we received the welcome news that our application for Fairtrade College Status has been successful.

Aquinas celebrates the courage of two of our students this spring as Hannah Booth and Dan Cooke wage their own, very personal battles against cancer.
