Students at Aquinas were celebrating another year of outstanding achievement as they received their results today. A-level students achieved a pass rate of 98%, with nearly 50% achieving an A*-C grade. Vocational course grades were also high with a 100% pass rate with an incredible 89% gaining high grades.
The report of the recent Ofsted Inspection of the college has now been published. Principal Danny Pearson welcomed the report saying, “It is really pleasing that the quality of my colleagues and of our students has been recognised by the inspectors. The changes we have put in place are beginning to bear fruit. The atmosphere of tolerance and respect noted by Ofsted is central to our mission and ethos”.
Aquinas students are celebrating after another exceptional set of results, achieving an A level pass rate above the national average. Over half the grades awarded were A*-B with several students achieving four or even five A-levels at grade A or above.
Ten Aquinas students have gained places to study at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.

On Thursday 25th April 2013 we held our After Aquinas Event. This event brings together students and parents with Universities, training providers and employers to discuss options available to students after Aquinas.
A dozen students from Aquinas College have been successful in receiving offers to study at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
February 2013 saw the eighth and largest Aquinas India trip depart. 71 students and 9 staff spent 10 days in Mumbai working with the under-privileged children supported by Prem Dan.
The football and netball teams travelled to Bath this weekend to represent the North West against teams from all over the UK.
Aquinas students perform Jim Cartwright's play as part of the National Theatre Connections 2013. The show will be performed again on the 9th of May at the Lowry in Salford.
In December a group of students from Product Design 3D Design visited the Mini Factory in Oxford to find out about modern manufacturing techniques.
