Today we have been holding our careers event, ‘After Aquinas’. It has proved to be so successful that it has become an annual event in the college calendar with over 40 universities and colleges attending along with 30 or so apprenticeship providers and public service employers.
The After Aquinas Evening for students and their parents is a great opportunity for them to find out more information from the various universities, employers and apprenticeship providers to help students think about their options when they leave Aquinas.
The representatives from the various institutions, services and companies were available along the college’s student street, being more than willing to speak with students and their parents, providing them with prospectuses and other printed information to inform their choices.
A series of presentations also took place covering themes such as, selecting the right universities and courses, university applications – support presentation for parents, student finance, apprenticeship routes, university life, healthcare professions, gap years and social and digital media.
The student street was very busy with students and parents being able to see for themselves what a fantastic range of options there are beyond Aquinas.
