Professor Iain Stewart Causes a Quake at Aquinas College

We were delighted to welcome back Professor Iain Stewart to Aquinas for a second time Wednesday 28th November, 2018. The Professor is UNESCO Chair in Geoscience and Society, and lecturer in Geoscience Communication at the University of Plymouth where he is Director of the Sustainable Earth Institute, School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences. He is also a rock legend on TV! Iain has produced many science programmes for the BBC and received a BAFTA nomination for the Power of the Planet. His lecture at Aquinas attracted over 200 guests from local feeder schools and sixth form colleges within the North West. Iain’s lecture on seismic activity was truly inspirational for our young Earth Scientists. It was a wonderful event.
