AS/A2 OCR
The course starts with an investigation into trial by jury and then proceeds to evaluate the effectiveness of the law making processes. You will also learn how the civil and criminal courts operate and the powers available to them. The A2 course considers the Law relating to criminal activity, from murder to muggings and from battery to burglary. Finally, defences such as intoxication, consent and insanity are examined. This course would suit anyone with an interest in Law, as an insight into a legal career or as a pathway to University. During the course you will have the opportunity to visit all the major courts, from the Magistrates in Stockport to the Appeal courts in London.
