Trips & Travel

We believe in the value of learning outside of the classroom and organise a wide range of trips and visits locally, nationally and internationally. These trips may be to support studies or simply to broaden minds.

Last year alone over 150 trips took place, from local Stockport Magistrates Court to the streets of Mumbai, New York and Peru. As you can imagine, every trip is highly sought after and our students always have a fantastic experience, creating memories and making friends.

There are different trips every year and students can find out more during induction and in their subjects. The following trips run every year and are open to all students.

Camps International

Is a unique opportunity for students to raise money and travel to remote locations around the world. Students take part in conservation work, helping build schools and hospitals to aid local communities in need. They will also have the chance to travel and experience the culture in another country for 4 weeks. This program takes 2 years of fund raising and will be completed in students upper sixth year.

An unforgettable week! Euroweek is an international project bringing together students from all over Europe. Activities include a grand buffet with food from each nation, discussions, trips and traditional dances. Euroweek takes place in a different host nation each year – October 2019 Euroweek will be in Belgium, and 2020 in Austria.

This is a unique chance to travel to Mumbai and experience working with disadvantaged children within schools and community projects. Students will support the ‘Prem Dam’ charity project and continue the work that Aquinas College have done in India for the past 15 years. This trip takes place in February half term and is open to all students.

Italian Exchange

A full exchange with an Italian student. Students travel to Italy during the Easter break. The trip includes an excursion to Venice plus sightseeing in Verona and the nearby area. The Italian students visit us in the Spring term. Highly recommended for students taking Italian A-level but open to all students who want to explore this fascinating country.
