Students attend Japan Day at UClan

13 Lower 6th and 2 Upper 6th students took part in a day trip to Preston to take part in their annual Japan Day. This is a public event which showcases different aspects of traditional Japanese culture including a Cosplay Runway, Calligraphy, and a Taiko drumming workshop. For their lunch students sampled traditional bento boxes and they also sampled matcha tea, read displays put together by students on subjects such as the history of tofu. There was a presentation from the Director of the Japan Foundation in London about Japanese language learning around the world.
