Gin Design Triumph

The art department recently worked with Stockport Gin to collaborate on a design project. The co-founder of Stockport Gin Paul Sharrocks, came in to discuss a potential brief. Paul and his wife Cheryl have been running Stockport Gin for 5 years so Paul suggested that our Lower 6 create a label for a new gin that they would be creating for their 5-year anniversary. He wanted the design to reflect all things Stockport and be a true celebration of all the gins and flavours that they have produced.

The short project ran for 4 weeks, and we sent the designs in for Paul and Cheryl to choose their favourite. They picked Max Rooney’s design out of about 80 designs. They also shortlisted 6 other students which they sent commendations in for their efforts. Here is Max collecting his bottle from Paul and Cheryl, we are super proud of him and for all the students who entered a design.
