Mathematical Olympiad for Girls

Congratulations to Freya Lever, Jennie Cohen, Hannah Sparrow and Emily Nicholls (pictured left to right) who recently took part in the Mathematical Olympiad for Girls. All four girls scored highly enough for a Merit Certificate with Emily doing exceptionally well to earn a Distinction.

Just over 2000 girls took the Olympiad nationwide (a 2.5 hour paper of very difficult maths questions) with the top 25% earning a Merit. The girls have done amazingly well, especially as they have had limited practise at Olympiad style questions previously. We are very proud of their achievements.
