Aquinas College held its annual Sports Presentation Evening on Thursday 7th May, bringing together students and staff to celebrate another outstanding year of sport across the college.
The evening recognised the achievements, commitment and contributions of students from both the Lower and Upper Sixth, highlighting the wide range of sporting opportunities available at Aquinas. Awards were presented across a number of sports including Women’s Football, Men’s Football, Netball and Basketball.
Among the awards presented were Coaches’ Player and Players’ Player honours, alongside Outstanding Achievement Awards and Contribution Awards recognising dedication, leadership and positive impact within teams and the wider department. The evening also included the presentation of the prestigious Student of the Year award.
Throughout the event, staff reflected on the enthusiasm, teamwork and resilience shown by students across the year, both in competition and in their wider involvement in college sport.
The evening was described as a fantastic celebration of the Aquinas sporting community, with staff expressing how proud they were of the students and the positive culture that continues to grow within the department. The event highlighted not only sporting success, but also the friendships, opportunities and experiences that make Aquinas Sport such an important part of college life.
