Business

Business studies students study a variety of topics related to strategy and decision making. One day you may be a manager in a business related to your chosen subject area or even running your own business. Choosing business studies will give you a helpful insight into the integrated workings of any business.

Choosing to study Business can open the door to an exciting range of careers including in Law, Management, Accounting, Computing and Administration. The majority of business students at Aquinas go on to study for a business related degree. We have former students studying Business at Aston, Manchester and Nottingham and at many others.

The cores skills required to succeed in Business, such as written and oral communication, analysis of data and evaluative skills are essential in the workplace.

The Business department have several trips and events throughout the year including taking part in the BASE Competition and Aquinas’ Enterprise day.

Last week we held our 14th consecutive After Aquinas post-18 options careers event for our students to explore possibilities! We hosted over 90 representatives from a wide range of universities, higher education institutions, apprenticeship/degree apprenticeship providers and employers.

In February, 29 students and 4 staff went on a trip of a lifetime to Mumbai to work with the children at the Prem Dan Garden school and also the girls hostel. This was the 20th trip, which made it extra special.
