Course Outline

You can do this course either as a beginner or as a post GCSE student and reach AS in one year; A2 in second year. Students must be good, keen linguists. Given that this is an intensive course you are strongly advised to take part in the exchange (with a school near Venice). The approximate cost of the exchange is £250.

The course is organised into units:

  • Education and employment

At the end of the course you will take two exams which will test your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.

The second year builds on skills acquired at AS level.  Grammar and vocabulary are reinforced and extended through the study of topics including: customs, traditions, beliefs and religions; national and international events; literature and the arts.
