Aquinas College Student Jess Sky Dive for MS

Jess sky dive

Brave Jess Butterworth is doing a tandem skydive to raise money to fund more MS nurses. Jess was diagnosed with Multiple sclerosis last September.

Saturday 14th October 2017, Jess will be jumping out of a plane from 10,000 feet, her mum will take her place if she is not well enough to do the fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis Trust. http://www.mstrust.org.uk/

“It costs on average £52,500 to recruit, train and pay for a new MS nurse for the first 15 months, only after this period do the NHS take over the funding. The trust relies purely on the donations and the generosity of its supporters. Very sadly about 2 out of 3 people with MS live in an area where there are not enough MS nurses. As a result of this I have decided to take part in the Big Blue Jump Weekend in October this year. For anyone that knows me will know this to be a huge challenge as I am not exactly the biggest fan of heights. I will be skydiving from at least 10,000 feet and freefalling down to 5,000 ft. at a speed of 120mph. All of the money raised from the jump will go towards helping fund new MS nurses across the UK. Your donations will make sure no one has to manage MS alone.”
