Guest Speaker Professor Roger Searle

This week we were very lucky to have the Professor of Geophysics (Emeritus) from Durham University as a guest speaker. Roger Searle works within the Department of Earth Sciences at Durham. He has an an impressive career CV covering teaching and educational research and has worked in some amazing parts of the world.

Roger researches in geophysics, especially tectonic and magmatic processes at mid-ocean ridges. He has over 130 publications in peer reviewed journals and in 2013 published a book, ‘Mid-Ocean Ridges’.

Roger Searle’s talk was a must for our science, stretch and challenge students and geographers.
