It encourages students to develop their independent research skills and incorporates a range of assessment methods including written reports, video presentations and observed activities.

The aim of this course is to familiarise students with the issues faced and tackled by British Public Services, engendering a public service ethos and an awareness of the important role these organisations play in British daily life. However, the varied issues covered also provide a good grounding for careers as diverse as teaching, criminology, law, local government and beyond.

In terms of further study, current students have applied for HE level courses in Law, Teaching, Police studies, Criminology and Media Studies.
