Certificate Evening – Class of 2016

At Certificate Evening we welcome back our former students to reflect on their academic and personal successes and in truth just have a good old catch up with each other!

Stockport Town Hall was the venue for a great evening celebrating the achievements of our class of 2016. They left Aquinas in the summer heading off to various corners of the country and the world – to university, apprenticeships, employment and gap years.

Christmas carols were sung on arrival by our current student choir. This was followed by series of short addresses by Principal Danny Pearson, Vice-Principal Carina Vitti and Tom McGee our Chair of Governors. Lucy Mellor delivered an assured and thoughtful reflection on behalf of the student body.

Once Certificates were presented, and a montage of class of 2016 photos shown, it was time for students, staff, friends and family to catch up over a drink and a mince pie.

Members of Anthony Trevelyan’s tutor group, (Tutor Group 7C2), are featured in the photo with their Certificates. Anthony commented, “it was a pleasure and a privilege to know you guys at such an important time in your lives. I look forward to hearing about all your fantastic successes!”

As Eddie Moore, our recently retired Vice-Principal always says, “once an Aquinas student always an Aquinas student”. So stay in touch, follow us on Facebook, we’d love to hear from you.
