Teachers of Tomorrow

PGCE trainee teachers at Aquinas College lead a session for students on the Teachers of Tomorrow programme. This is a programme for students who have expressed an interest in teaching.

“There are 9 PGCE students and together we ran one lesson on the roles and responsibilities of a teacher. As new teachers it was a great way for us to plan a session and work together. The students were really engaged and knew a lot more about the role of teaching than I did at their age! I think it is really useful as we are learning about the role of a teacher and at the start of our careers so the students can relate to us more easily.”
