Aquinas College has a long established policy of transparency and freedom of information.
We have adopted the model scheme for further education produced by the Information Commissioner. We would not ordinarily make a charge for information requests.

Data Protection
The Data Protection Act 1984 was enacted by the Government to provide individuals with new rights of access to personal data held about them and to provide a safeguard for the privacy of such data. This Act relates ‘to the use of automatically processed information relating to living individuals and the provision of services in respect of such information’. It imposes a duty on those holding personal data to comply with eight data protection principles, to register with the Data Protection Registrar, and to allow people access to and, if necessary, to correct data that relates to them.
