Students studying GCSE Japanese at Aquinas College recently took part in an exciting international language exchange with English language students from Tama University in Japan.
The session, held on Monday 10th November, gave Aquinas students the opportunity to put their classroom learning into practice by engaging in real conversations with native Japanese speakers. Students conducted interviews with their Japanese counterparts, discussing a range of topics including university life, hobbies, and favourite foods.
The exchange offered an invaluable opportunity for students to develop confidence, fluency, and cultural awareness. Many students described the experience as “brilliant” and said they were delighted to see how effectively their Japanese language skills worked in real-life conversation.
