Students from Creative Media took part in an exciting full-day workshop with Quays TV, gaining hands-on experience in live studio production and visual podcasting. The session, held in our TV Studio, challenged students to respond to a real broadcast brief, working collaboratively to develop and record their own visualised podcast style segments.
After a-led introduction to the world of student broadcasting at MediaCityUK, students split into production teams supported by representatives from Quays TV. Throughout the day, they planned discussion topics, prepared scripts, practised presenting, and operated studio equipment to bring their visualised podcast ideas to life.
The team at Quays TV praised the group for their confidence, maturity, and enthusiasm, noting the high standard of creative thinking and the engaging conversations captured on camera. The workshop provided a valuable insight into professional broadcast workflows and gave students the opportunity to test their communication, teamwork, and production skills in a fast-paced environment.
A huge well done to everyone involved! It was an inspiring and energising experience that has helped prepare our students for future pathways in media, journalism, television, and digital content creation.
