A group of Creative Media Practice BTEC students attended an exciting networking event with SAZ Media at Etherow Country Park, working on a live brief from Stockport Council aimed at encouraging the local community to get back out into nature.
Students were challenged to produce creative marketing deliverables, including original photographs and a campaign tagline to promote the beauty and accessibility of local outdoor spaces. Throughout the day, they impressed professionals with their enthusiasm, initiative, and professionalism, collaborating in teams and engaging directly with industry experts to gain insight into real-world creative production.
The event provided a unique opportunity for students to network with professionals, explore potential paid work placements, and strengthen the content for their current assignments. Their work will now feature in both college promotional materials and an upcoming Stockport Council article, celebrating the collaboration between education and the local creative sector.
This experience perfectly reflects the Aquinas ethos of helping students “Be More” more connected, more creative, and more career-ready.
