All of the Aquinas Upper Sixth Geography students recently went on a field trip to Grange over Sands, which is to the north side of Morecambe Bay in Cumbria. The purpose of the trip is to enable the students to collect field data that is required for the completion of their NEA (Non-Examined Assessment).
Head of Department, Angela Bentley, said of the trip:
“I have to say that our current Upper Sixth geographers were amazing in Grange over Sands. We were so impressed by the attitude and resilience of each and every young person on the trip.
Despite some ghastly weather (wind, rain, sleet) on Thursday and a rather inclement Friday students collected the data for their NEA’s with stoic fortitude. Their positive determination and positive outlook throughout the week was something of which each student should be proud.
It was great to see students gaining confidence in themselves, making their own decisions, being considerate of others and their environment.”
