Conor Glean led a fantastic workshop with our students and had the student insulting each other in Shakespearean language in no time. He was completely engaging and the students really responded with focus and enthusiasm to the exercises that he lead us through.

Professor Keeley Crockett from Manchester Metropolitan University visited Aquinas to give a talk on the current developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the ethical considerations created through this new emerging technology.

All of the Aquinas Upper Sixth Geography students recently went on a field trip to Grange over Sands, which is to the north side of Morecambe Bay in Cumbria. The purpose of the trip is to enable the students to collect field data that is required for the completion of their NEA (Non-Examined Assessment).

On Tuesday 3rd October, Aquinas College took a group of A Level Politics students to the Conservative Party Conference in Manchester. Students learn about UK political parties, pressure groups, and the role of the media in shaping the political agenda as part of their course.

Stockport MP Navendu Mishra MP visited college to meet Luke Watson and Politics A Level students for an informal lunchtime Q&A session. Nav gave a brief introduction to his role as an MP and his responsibilities in Parliament and then took questions from the students present

Ken Clark from the Bank of England delivered an interesting talk to the upper 6th Economics students about the role that the Bank of England plays to try and achieve a low and stable inflation rate.
